We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Occupational Therapist to join our friendly welcoming team. The role is focused on assessing occupational needs, working collaboratively with service users to improve their mental health and overall wellbeing within the community setting. You will apply specialist interventions to enable people to actively participate in their home lives, and their local communities, connecting with statutory and third sector agencies to help developing skills to improve their independence and safety. You will be expected to assess and manage a caseload of complex presentations using your clinical reasoning to assess how mental health problems impact upon occupation and performance in people's daily lives. Applicants must have the ability to work autonomously and as part of an existing Occupational Therapy and Multidisciplinary Team. To be responsible for the assessment and management of a caseload of service users who present with a variety of complex Occupational Therapy needs, diverse presentations with a range of mental health needs.In partnership with the Service Users and Carers where appropriate, develop collaborative intervention plans, ensuring regular reviews to monitor progress and adapt as necessary.To consider Carer needs and ensure Carer and family are involved in Care Planning where appropriate.To deliver evidenced based Occupational therapy interventions.
