We care for people who live in the London Borough of Croydon and our aim is to ensure that people get the expertise they need to address their mental health problems. We provide a 24-hour service to Croydon University Hospital offering urgent assessment and intervention to patients, the team includes Nurses, Doctors, an Occupational Therapist and a Clinical Psychologist About the location: The Croydon area has excellent schools both in the state and private sectors. Mental health care for patients who attend CUH is delivered by the Croydon Mental Health Liaison service provided by South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM). We are an ageless service along with the Older Adult Liaison Psychiatry service. About the role: The successful candidates will be clinically confident in assessing mental health service users presenting in emergencies, carrying out short term interventions and making independent decisions. You will thrive in a fast paced environment, often working under pressure. You will possess excellent assessment, communication skills and interpersonal skills. You will work well with others and enjoy multidisciplinary work whilst maintaining the highest standard in the quality of care. You will be expected to work in partnership with our clinical assessment unit (CAU), part of the mental health liaison services within the hospital. About us Education and Qualification -Registered Adult Nurse and/or-Registered Mental Health Nurseand/or Registered Learning-Disabilities Nurse -Mentorship qualification Experience and Knowledge -Experience of research based/reflective practice-understanding and ability to usesupervision to reflect on skills,attitude and knowledge anddevelop these by using evidencebased practice-Significant relevant clinicalexperience-Evidence of continuing professional development-Experience as a preceptor /mentor Skills and Abilities -Able to provide quality care that is responsive to service users needs, without close supervision -Resilient: able to cope with difficultinterpersonal situations "}
