You will need to be able to engage proactively with individuals using the principles of recovery to provide effective mental healthcare for patients across the mental health spectrum, alongside care coordination for some patients under the Care Programme Approach. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the service and develop your own skills and attributes. Duties will include involvement in managing a medication clinic, case management of clients with complex mental health needs, utilising professional core skills, working with family and friends. The role will include involvement in the development and promotion of the City North Local Mental Health Team. This post would suit a newly qualified mental health nurse and we welcome applications for students in the final stages of their pre-registration nursing course. The Mental Health Division of Nottinghamshire Healthcare Foundation Trust comprises of three directorates; Adult Mental Health, Mental Health Services for Older People and Specialist Services. We want to help our staff reach their full potential, and are committed to providing the support, skills and development needed to succeed The Local Mental Health Teams provide mental health services for people aged 18 to 65 years across Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire County and Bassetlaw. There are eleven LMHT, each of which includes the following specialist staff: Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Community Support Workers, Peer Support Workers and Employment Specialists. Our LMHT bring together a variety of services including Assertive Outreach, Community Rehabilitation, Community Assessment Treatment Services, City Recovery Service, Social Inclusion and Wellbeing, Community Occupational Therapy Service and Medical Services. We help patients and their families to cope with periods of severe mental illness and assess, plan and implement a personal path of recovery for each patient. We work with people who have a wide range of mental health difficulties. Some may require short term intervention, and sometimes longer-term care plans will be put in place.
