Due to the needs of the current portfolio, applications will only be considered from Paediatric Nurses, with current NMC registration. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a paediatric setting either clinically or within research. For those with limited research experience, full training will be provided.The successful candidate will have responsibility for the development of the paediatric research portfolio, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team in the clinical environment to support and deliver research projects relevant to our local population. You will be required to work autonomously and will also be responsible for identifying new research opportunities, coordinating and managing a number of clinical trials. In addition to assisting clinicians and other members of the research team, you will support research patients throughout the research process ensuring the well-being and safety of patients at all times. You will perform study related procedures, including participant assessment, informed consent, clinical examinations and reporting adverse events. The post holder will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability and initiative to work independently and manage a patient caseload across a variety of trials & studies. You will be required to prioritise your own workload and be responsible for the management of a caseload of clinical trial patients.
