We are looking to appoint to Consultant Radiologist in Obstetrics And Gynaecology Imaging to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We would welcome applications from candidates across the full spectrum of experience, from those who have recently completed training to those who have well-established careers. Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues. Should any further vacancies arise shortlisted applicants will be considered. Together with consultant colleagues, the appointee will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive Obstetrics and Gynaecological radiological services to the Trust. This will be at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Jessop Wing and Weston Park Hospital (WPH). The majority of Gynaecological ultrasound is performed by sonographers. The appointee will be expected to perform complex examinations (including transvaginal scans) and offer expert advice to the sonographers. The appointee will also be expected to support the service for the gestational trophoblastic disease at WPH, one of the two centres in the UK treating this group of patients. Appropriate training will be provided if necessary. The successful candidate will work flexibly and co-operatively with other members of the team in order to provide a high quality, comprehensive service within this teaching hospital environment. "}
