Job Summary You will provide specialist assessments and clinical interventions to children, young people and parents/carers that are referred to the service. You will contribute to the broader aims of the service through joint working and consultation as required. The service is a lively, dynamic and supportive service with a range of clinical interests and developments. We are committed to CPD and supervision and encourage innovation and development, as well as contributing to local Clinical Psychology Training courses. You will join an established service which includes Clinical Psychologists, Specialist Therapists and Trainee and Assistant Psychologists. We are part of CYPPS and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) across LSCFT and have close links with our local Psychiatry Service in East Lancashire (East Lancashire Child and Adolescent Service). Applications are invited from suitably qualified clinicians with knowledge and experience of theory, assessment and intervention with the breadth of complex presentations seen in Children and Young People's Psychological Services. Main duties of the job To provide assessment and therapeutic interventions based on evidence based therapeutic models to children, young people and their families/carers, working as part of Children & Young People's Psychological Services. To communicate effectively and liaise with children, young people, their families/carers with respect to their psychological care in the service. Person Specification Education/Qualifications Essential NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse, Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW), Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), MA Social Work, or BA/BSc Hons Social Work, BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy, MSc Occupational Therapy, or Diploma of the College of Occupational Therapists (DipCOT) or other relevant core profession. AND professional registration with the appropriate accrediting body. Desirable Additional qualifications relevant to the post.
