Job Summary The opportunity has arisen to employ Dietetic Support Workers to work under the direction of the Highly Specialist Public Health Dietitian. They will work to deliver PIPYN across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. Please see Merthyr PIPYN - Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (nhs.wales) Main duties of the job To undertake necessary training on childhood nutrition, motivational interviewing, and behaviour change strategies To work within GP practices to identify and engage with local families To support and assist the project team in the provision of comprehensive healthy lifestyles programmes for children age 3- 7 years To work safely and appropriately as part of the project team To plan and prioritise workload on a day-to-day basis under the supervision of the qualified staff To motivate, guide and encourage the community to participate in activities and monitor their progress during the programme and reporting findings to the relevant qualified staff member To contribute to the maintenance of adequate notes on client group or activity progress, with guidance from qualified staff To be competent in the use of practical food resources To undertake the inputting of data into evaluation databases To participate in team meetings to discuss programme progress and ensure that feedback is given to relevant bodies or groups To respect and adhere to the code of confidentiality To promote and support clients' rights, by promoting individual choice and respecting their beliefs This post is fixed term for 12 months due to - meet the needs of the service About Us Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is part of the NHS Wales family.
