The successful applicant will provide a professional, proactive, and sensitive service to bereaved relatives. The post holder will be expected to work with all grades of medical, nursing and chaplaincy staff to assist the smooth running of the bereavement office, in accordance with national and hospital guidelines for the care of the bereaved and the medical certification of deceased patients. You will also be responsible for the day to day running of the service and will ensure processes are adhered to and that the organisational needs regarding bereavement are met in a timely manner. The post holder will be expected to manage the day-to-day running of the service and provide managerial guidance to those using the service. To provide expertise, knowledge, and support for the care of deceased patients and their relatives. Manage the day-to-day running of the office and provide managerial guidance to those using the service. Liaise with ward staff and teams in the event of any issues arising regarding patient property. Inform relatives of the process for the registration of their relative’s death. Issue documentation, personal effects, and information to relatives.
