Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician, to take forward key prescribing initiatives within NHS Lothian GP practices in the North East of Edinburgh (East Cluster – see map on page 2). Working with the Primary Care Pharmacy team, GPs, other healthcare professionals and practice staff, this job will provide an exciting and challenging opportunity to optimise prescribing and medicines management in GP practices across Edinburgh. With a National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent Pharmacy Technician qualification and current registration as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council, you will possess excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience of multidisciplinary teamworking would be an advantage. Key aspects of this role will involve implementation and participation in pharmacotherapy work-streams such as medicines reconciliation and prescription management in GP practices (East Cluster) and in a hub setting (currently based at Pennywell All Care Centre).
