This is an exciting opportunity to progress your physiotherapy career within the well-established and dynamic physiotherapy service working across different sites in Oxford. You will be kept busy travelling to all different sites and seeing many different people. The team are looking for an existing band 6 Physiotherapist looking to build on their skills through this post and to integrate themselves in a team who is excited about their work. Perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme. Communicate with relevant medical and nursing staff, social workers, and other health care professionals, and patients relatives and carers who may be in direct contact with the post holder with regard to patient care in order to facilitate a team approach to patient care. Hold responsibility for own case load and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision. About us The purpose of the role is to provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and intervention to patients admitted to the wards at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury. The Whiteleaf Centre has 4 wards (2 acute, 1 rehab and 1 older adults - mixed Dementia and functioning mental health). The role will include assessing and treating patients with complex long term neurological conditions, MSK conditions, and mobility difficulties and supporting physical activity on the wards along with the Physical Fitness Practitioner and Physiotherapy Technical Instructors. You will have responsibility for supervising junior staff and physiotherapy students, and for supporting the professional lead in service development and quality improvement projects. You will be working alongside a broad multi-disciplinary team facilitating holistic care.
