Locum Consultant in General Paediatrics with Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Isleworth
We are looking for a Consultant General in Paediatrics to join our dynamic and friendly department at the West Middlesex University Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we expand our consultant team. This post forms part of our newly designed consultant rota with attending weeks covering the general paediatric and acute pathway including short stay unit. This timetable is calculated on a weekly average of 8 DCC to 2 SPA which has been annualised to account for 42 working weeks per year. The attending commitments will be to either the paediatric ward (starlight ward) or short stay unit (PSSU) depending on the needs of the department. This is one week in 5 (approximately 10 weeks per year). The non-attending timetable occurs 32 weeks of the year. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and energetic paediatrician trained to consultant level. The department is undergoing expansion and re-organisation and this is an opportunity to join the team as we develop our service. As an acute paediatrician the successful candidate will join our attending consultant of the week system in general paediatrics. They will work with local, community and tertiary colleagues. The successful candidate will deliver outpatient clinics at west Middlesex Hospital. A subspecialty interest to complement our team (eg epilepsy) is desirable. The post is based at the West Middlesex Hospital site, but may be required to work at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital site, in line with service requirements. Out of hours cover includes cover to the acute paediatric areas and Level 1 SCBU. About us Please refer to our detailed job description for more information.
