Senior Healthcare Support Worker (Musculoskeletal) with Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Barnstaple, Devon
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Senior Support Worker to join the musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy team. This role will primarily be based at the North Devon District Hospital but there will also be a requirement to provide some support at other community sites (for example Ilfracombe Community Hospital and South Molton Community Hospital). More detail about the role The successful candidate will support qualified physiotherapy staff in providing a high quality service throughout North Devon including: physiotherapy outpatients, exercise classes and hydrotherapy. You will also be expected to work with patients on a 1:1 basis, following a rehabilitation programme set by the physiotherapist. Excellent customer care and communication skills are essential as the majority of the role involves direct patient contact, working with both adult and secondary school age patients. The role will also involve some administrative and house keeping duties, so having good organisational skills is key. You will need to be competent with basic computer skills, for example in order to use the electronic patient record system and ordering equipment. Experience within a related field or dealing with members of the public would be an advantage and you must be able to work both as part of a team and independently. You will need to be flexible, adaptable, reliable and punctual. Appropriate support and on the job training will be given. Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8:00 to 16:00, flexible working pattern.
