Community Radiographer with Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Exeter, Devon
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Radiographer to join our busy and friendly community X-ray team. You will need to be a well-motivated and enthusiastic Radiographer, providing X-ray services across our 7 Community X-ray sites in East Devon. The sites are located in Tiverton, Honiton, Ottery St Mary, Exmouth, Sidmouth, Okehampton and Axminster. The successful candidate will be expected to work across all sites as and when required. More detail about the role Within the Community we provide imaging services for a range of service users including GP referrals, Outpatient clinics and Community Inpatients. Several of our sites have Nurse led Minor Injury Units and Tiverton Hospital has an Urgent Care Centre both of which we also provide imaging services for. We currently have an ongoing equipment replacement program within Community X-ray, and 4 of our sites are now fully digital. Okehampton and Axminster Hospitals have AGFA DR600s. Both Exmouth and Tiverton Hospitals have a Siemens Ysio Max. Honiton Hospital is currently in the process of an equipment replacement and will also be a Siemens Ysio Max. The remaining sites currently use Philips Medio or Philips Buckydiagnost systems with AGFA CR. As part of this role you will be expected to participate in the Community X-ray weekend and Bank Holiday service, which is currently based at Tiverton Hospital but has a future potential to be further expanded to two other sites, and any shift or extended working day patterns to meet service requirements. The Community imaging team has a close working relationship with the Radiology team at RDUH and you may be required at times to assist in providing cross cover at either Nightingale CDC or The Royal and Devon Hospital (Wonford); appropriate training will be provided for this. Applicants must be confident and technically skilled as they will ordinarily be working as the sole Radiographer on any given site with remote support from the Superintendent Radiographer, whilst also supporting the training of student and apprentice radiographers.
