                                                    Locum Consultant Cellular Pathologist /Histopathologist with Barts Health NHS Trust in London

                                                     Applications are invited for a locum replacement Consultant Cellular Pathologist / Histopathologist post in the Department of Cellular Pathology at Barts Health NHS Trust. The appointment is to provide Histopathology reporting within cardiothoracic and lymphoreticular pathology and non gynaecological cytology for Barts Health and the other hospitals for which we undertake service provision.   The post is based in the state-of-the-art Pathology and Pharmacy building at the Royal London hospital in Whitechapel. Cellular pathology services are provided along specialist lines. The department provides a high quality service and the appointee will be a full and active member of the team.   Applicants are required to hold full GMC registration with a licence to practice and to be on the GMC's Specialist Register or within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT at the time of interview. The post holders will be expected to support the relevant specialty lead(s) and the Clinical Lead in the management of the cellular pathology service. The configuration of all the responsibilities will be reviewed from time to time and the post holders will be expected to work with consultant colleagues to provide a reliable and expeditious service, with scope for service development.      The rota(s) will be subject to negotiation between colleagues. Should disputes regarding rota(s) arise, the Lead Clinician will mediate.      Compliance with the requirements of good clinical governance and national arrangements for medical recertification will be expected. DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service, formally CRB) checks will be applied.
