Are you an experienced and highly motivated Nurse with drive and ambition? Do you have proven leadership skills? Are you enthusiastic about developing and managing an inpatient team based in Exeter. We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager based at the Mardon Neuro-Rehabilitation Centre, It is our purpose-built, 12-bed specialist neuro-rehabilitation inpatient unit located near the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford) site. The team provides specialist rehabilitation programmes for people with a range of medical, physical, cognitive and/or emotional difficulties caused by a neurological condition. That could mean disorders of the brain, spinal cord and/or the nerves that connect them. You will be working alongside the MDT to lead a team to deliver Nursing Care with a rehabilitation ethos. We are looking for a dynamic, highly organised individual with excellent Clinical skills and effective communication and IT skills. More detail about the role The overall job purpose of the Clinical Nurse Manager is to have continuous 24-hour responsibility for leading and coordinating the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of the clinical area. The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible for setting, maintaining and where needed improving the standards of care and ensuring these are monitored 24 hours a day. As a leader they will act as an expert resource and role model for the Unit team to support them in the delivery of effective care. The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible for ensuring an environment in which all patients and carers receive a high standard of care which is compassionate and takes account of their individual needs and wishes. You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, safe patient care as well as timely patient admissions and discharges. You will need to have experience of providing clinical supervision and people management. The successful candidate will be part of an integrated e team who work flexibly together to achieve the best outcomes for individuals. The successful candidate will be supported by an experienced peer group within the Community Division, Clinical Matron and CSM; who are all committed to collaborative MDT working. They will receive regular clinical and managerial support and supervision and benefit from both formal and informal learning opportunities. You will need to demonstrate a passion for Nursing as well as have a forward thinking, creative outlook. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, long / short days and management days including some weekend working.
