You have an opportunity to join this well established, friendly, hardworking team of over 60 Radiographers working within the Cross Sectional Imaging Department at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). Due to department expansion and establishment of the 24/7 mechanical thrombectomy service we are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Radiographer with experience in neuroangiography to join our team. UHS is one of the largest acute teaching trusts in England. It has a major trauma centre for adults and children, provides many specialist services such as neurosciences, cardiac and children's intensive care and is rated 'Good' by the CQC. It is also a major centre for teaching and research. About us The successful post holder will be a key member of the cross sectional imaging team, with a high level of competence in Neuro Interventional Angiography and fluoroscopy. We have a well-developed and supportive induction process. You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, professionalism and a flexible approach to working to support the Neuroangiography Superintendent and other CSI Imaging Leads in delivering an efficient and effective service. As a major trauma centre, with a large inpatient population, we provide a 24/7 service and require flexibility to cover all shifts. You will be based at the Southampton General Hospital site with 2 Siemens imaging suites in the department and access to the hybrid operating room for Neurosurgical intervention.
