To work within the operating framework of the Home with regards to the job level ensuringthat all policies and procedures are followed at all times. Ensuring that the personal care and other health needs of Residents are met and that assigned duties are executed in a professional and caring manner giving due regard to the Homes core values and values framework and the Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Health and Social Care Workers and the NMC Code of Conduct. Ensuring all relevant clinical documentation is in place, reflects the current clinical and care needs of the Resident as is updated monthly, (or more often if the Residents condition changes) to ensure accurate records are maintained, in line with the Homes policies and procedures and NMC guidance on record keeping. Administering prescribed medication to Residents in line with the instructions of the prescribing doctor and the Homes medication policies and procedures, and NMC guidance on the Standards of Medication Administration. Monitoring the health needs of Residents to ensure appropriate escalation using the NEWs protocol to General Practitioner services or a local acute hospital as appropriate Working co-operatively with colleagues in the pursuit of the responsibilities of the post, with due regard to our diversity and inclusion framework and policies. Attending rostered shifts as defined in the off-duty and to follow all HR policies and procedures in the event of being unable to attend for a rostered shift; understanding that such absence risks service levels and has the potential to compromise standards of care. Youll learn how to provide trachea and ventilator care and help staff to deliver a range of care services, including social activities. Ensuring concepts learnt during mandatory training sessions, (health and safety, inflection control, core values, and fire safety this is not an exhaustive list) are upheld and demonstrated in practice during your working shift. To act at all times to uphold the CQC domains ensuring care delivered is safe, caring, effective and responsive. Using the clinical governance framework and adverse event reporting procedures as per the Homes policy and procedures to identify and report any adverse events, particularly in respect of patient safety or other reportable events. What do I need to be successful? Essential Registered Nurse (RN1) with active NMC registration Understanding of NMC Code of Professional Conduct Proficiency in dispensing and administrating oral medication The ability of managing and prioritising conflicting workloads Interest to develop knowledge of the clinical speciality and own practice The ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations and work effectively under pressure Able to manage patients emotional needs and demonstrate empathy and caring Ability to solve and escalate problems and issues aswell as communicating effectively both written and verbal To be able to work collaboratively with other staff members The drive and determination to achieve objectives Focused on continual personal development Enthusiasm for and belief in patient healthcare Desirable Experience in neuro rehabilitation environment Awareness and understanding of current neuro health issues Proficiency in dispensing and administrating medication Ability to identify and implement improvements to service Proven record in teaching/mentoring/supervising others Computer literacy skills Ability to lead a team to achieve results Whats in it for me?
