An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, proactive team player to join the Urology team as a Patient Pathway Co-ordinator (Admissions Officer) at Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust and within the Surgery Division. The ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure and be organised and have good time management skills.The candidate should have an ability to be able to negotiate with colleagues/staff and consultants and able to work with colleagues of all grades. Our Patient Pathway Co-ordinators (Admissions Officer) are vital to ensuring that patients are scheduled for surgery in line with clinical urgency, cancer waiting times and RTT. The role requires good problem solving skills and the ability to priortise workload. Particular focus at present is on reducing the backlog. All new staff appointed to posts at the Trust are subject to a probationary period. This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the culture and working environment of the Trust. To manage the admissions of patients on the specialty waiting list efficiently. To effectively monitor and maintain relevant specialty waiting list(s). To ensure the relevant information is entered promptly and accurately to the Patient Administration System (PAS) meeting the requirements of the Trust's Patient Access Policy, at all times.
