A rare opportunity has arisen for a Registered Staff Nurse to join our fast paced, dynamic Outpatients Department and Preoperative Assessment service at our Private Hospital in Canterbury. Friendly and flexible candidate sought to work closely with our fantastic Nursing Team and Consultants to support patients who access our outpatient services. We offer consultant led clinics, minor surgery, clinical procedures and pre-operative assessment services across a wide range of specialities such as Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics and General Surgery. You will have the opportunity to manage and work within a varied caseload in OPD services. Interview Date: 6th January 2025 Registered Nurse 1st Level Evidence of continual professional development Demonstrates a patient focus approach Experience in a surgical/medical environment with a knowledge and understanding of surgical/medical procedures Commitment to professional development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team Able to cope under pressure. Committed to providing a quality clinical service About us The post holders will be expected to work across all areas of Spencer Private hospitals within their role remit To contribute to the maintenance of patient care standards and to assist with the implementation of changes to care delivery systems, methods and nursing practice in order to bring about improvements in the quality of care To contribute to the development and implementation of nursing standards which reflect customer requirements and professional best practice Carry out planned care for a group of patients without direct supervision providing individualised patient care Provide professional leadership, advice and guidance within the team, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team Assist and advise staff both registered and unregistered in the delivery of patient care Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records in line with professional standards Have responsibility for the administration and custody of medicines in line with Spencer Private Hospitals (SPH) policy and professional standards Assist in the maintenance of professional standards, highlighting to the line manager when standards are not seen to be met Uphold the corporate values of SPH
