Selsey Medical Practice has 12,500 patients and is well organised and harmonious with 4 collaborative partners (including a managing partner) and 5 salaried GPs. We also have an experienced nursing team (with a nurse responsible for home visiting), numerous ARRS roles and a fantastic Patient Support Team. We have a great team spirit and meet daily for a scheduled informal, professional catch-up over real coffee in our comfortable staff room, where we can let off steam, share news and discuss cases if necessary. We are a training practice We are part of Chichester Alliance of Medical Practices Primary Care Network. The PCN, which has 90,000 patients, employs a number of additional roles including paramedics, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, social prescribers, care coordinators, first contact physiotherapists and mental health practitioners, all of whom work as part of our practice team here in Selsey. We use TPP Systmone clinical system. The successful candidate will be a GP member of the clinical team delivering a wide range of primary care services, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with a love of general practice to join our expanding team of experienced staff in our purpose built medical centre. There may be the potential for a future partnership opportunity for the right person. About us Clinical responsibilities: The post-holder will undertake the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will provide services using face to face, telephone and video consultations Managing administrative tasks, dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Visiting patients at home when clinically indicated. Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards. Collecting data for audit purposes when requested. Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate. Supervising GP trainees and non-medical clinical staff when needed.
