Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in London
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 SLT to join our community SLT team, working in our Special School/Resource Base team across two schools (Cedar Resource Base and Paddock School). This role is ideal for people who are interested in developing their leadership skills at Band 7 level and contributing to the development of the service. You will have: Experience of, and highly specialist skills working with, a diverse paediatric caseload 4-18 years old Experience of supporting the evaluation of service delivery in Special Schools/Resource Bases Experience in developing and delivering universal and / or targeted level offers to special schools and/or resource bases Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-agency team Ability to work flexibly and independently where necessary Enthusiasm, imagination, and initiative Understanding of the neurodiversity framework To contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of service delivery within Cedar Base and the Special Schools team. To demonstrate highly specialist clinical skills in an area relevant to the team you work in To lead/supervise others within the service and to act as a resource and support for other therapists working with children with speech, language, and social communication difficulties. To be responsible for the management of a caseload of children with developmental speech and language delays/disorders and social communication difficulties To provide line management to junior staff and SLTAs and participate in and provide clinical supervision and support as required. To work with parents, carers, school staff and other agencies involved in the children's care as well as part of a multi-agency team. To work as a member of the community paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Team.
