We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated individual to the role of Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse for the Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC) which is part of the Emergency Services Division. The SDEC is a 20-trolley space providing care for all speciality patients for the trust. The unit is operational 24 hours per day, 7 days a week and is designed to facilitate rapid assessment and investigation of speciality patients referred from GP, NHS 111, London Ambulance Service, and the Emergency department. Our Urgent Treatment Centre for minor injuries and illnesses is also part of the SDEC and you will be expected to work in all areas. Those who need hospital admission are streamed to either The Acute Medical Unit or specialist wards in the Trust or externally.Based in the busy West End of London, we have a lively and vibrant working atmosphere, with quick and easy transport links. We are looking for experienced nurses to join our team. You will have strong communication and leadership skills with an eagerness to advance emergency and acute nursing practice. The Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse role will be suited to multi skilled staff with specialist skills in acute and/or emergency care and have the ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for being the nurse in charge of the shift monitoring patient flow through the unit.
