Medicines Support Delivery Driver with PharmaC (The Clatterbridge Pharmacy Ltd) in Liverpool
This post will be based at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Liverpool. Previous applications need not apply As a Medicines Delivery Driver, you will need to be physically fit and able to transport sometimes heavy boxes and bags. You will be collecting and delivering medicines from and to our main hospital sites and clinical hubs, as well as delivering to patient's homes. These are often some of the most vulnerable and unwell patients, and the service you provide to them by delivering their medicines is of critical importance. You will need to consider the safe custody of medicines and maintenance of cold chain systems to make sure that medicines arrive safely and ready to be used or issued to patients. Working closely with the PharmaC teams, your local knowledge and a passion for delivering a great service will ensure that your valuable cargo gets to the right place at the right time. It is essential you have a Full UK clean Driving Licence for manual vehicles, a good knowledge of the local area and have the flexibility to cover other drivers in the team. This role is both very busy and demanding, but also hugely rewarding at the same time. Permanent - 40 hours per week - mainly Monday to Friday, with some weekend and Bank Holiday work as required. Part time hours may also be considered. Salary: Starting at £24,510 rising to £26,792 per annum pro rata after 12 months (subject to completion of required training scheme and successful appraisal) Collection of dispensed medicines from the Dispensary and delivery to patient homes Delivery of medicines to hub clinical areas and putting away in designated storage area Transfer of medicines between PharmaC Liverpool and PharmaC Wirral sites, and return of empty tote boxes and delivery bags. Return of uncollected medicines from designated area in hub clinics back to PharmaC for reuse. Maintenance of adequate and safe medicines storage and transport conditions including cold chain Working in accordance with both set delivery schedules and ad hoc requests. Completion of legally required medicines delivery training scheme Ad hoc deliveries and collections as required by the service. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be required to complete a standard DBS check before employment can commence. This includes both spent and unspent convictions, as well as information held by local police deemed as relevant to the role. Employment is conditional on satisfactory DBS clearance.
