An Exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Qualified and registered Dental Nurse to join our committed Oral Maxillo Facial and Orthodontic team in the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our friendly Dental Nursing team, who has excellent interpersonal skills with a positive can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be required to work within both areas of speciality based in Wonford and in Heavitree. More detail about the role The successful candidate will be able to: Provide chair side and first support assistance to the Consultants in Maxillofacial / Oral / Orthodontics and their teams. Assist and maintain high quality efficient and effective patient care. Work as part of a team to maintain a clean and safe clinic environment for patients and staff. The successful candidate will need to have been qualified with GDC registration for at least 12 months along with Radiography and Sedation qualification and experience. For the right candidate we would be happy to consider somebody in a development role where you would be paid band 4. This will enable you to complete the radiography and sedation qualification. On successful completion of these qualifications, you would then be uplifted to the band 5 scale. The post holder will be working within a range of specialised Clinics consisting of: Head and Neck Cancer Clinics Orthodontic Clinics Orthognathic Clinics Oral Surgery Sedation (Inhalation and Intravenous) Emergency Clinics The successful candidate will have further learning opportunities available to them to enable to develop new skills.
