High Intensity CBT Therapist with Livewell Southwest in Plymouth
37.5 hours per week. The post holder will join the team at NHS Talking Therapies Service within Livewell Southwest (CIC). The service has a focus on the delivery of evidence-based treatments in line with NICE Guidance and national targets. In addition to providing high quality evidenced based therapy. They will be involved with the expansion into Long Term Conditions & be an ambassador for the service actively collaborating with The Community mental Health Framework including Primary & Secondary Care. We strive to improve the delivery of treatment for patients with depression, anxiety disorders and PTSD across Plymouth. The candidate will provide high intensity CBT evidence based psychological treatment to clients of a Talking Therapies Service, providing specialist assessment & therapy. The post is a busy one, with targets for activity and outcomes and a clinical caseload. This includes specialist assessment, treatment planning & delivery, including monitoring of outcomes on a weekly/monthly basis. You will also be a senior member of our clinical team, responsible for the delivery of treatment both in service & remotely, via video & working from home as required. Risk is assessed within service, the post holder will assess be experienced in assessing risk & referring to other services if beyond the remit of a Talking Therapies service, ensuring client safety & the safety of others. You will receive monthly clinical supervision as well as enhanced monthly caseload management with a Senior Therapist. The post holder will be expected to attend or have completed an approved Talking Therapies supervision training & on completion supervise staff. Staff are supported to maintain their accreditation with their professional body, through CPD. All Livewell staff are expected to be able and willing to work across a 7 day service. About us To provide high intensity evidence based psychological interventions, including CBT, to clients of the NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) service, across all sectors of care; providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on clients psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non professional carers, working under supervision within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures. To supervise and support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by other high and low intensity therapists, including supervision of CBT. To ensure accurate record keeping for the referral process and interventions from all NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) therapists, using the agreed information systems. To work with the other senior clinicians to provide relevant information and data to the Livewell NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) team and service managers and professional leads as required. To work within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service. To work with senior colleagues within the service to develop and maintain psychosocial models of care relevant to the client group. To provide relevant teaching, training and supervision within the service and where appropriate across the Livewell (CIC). To attend the agreed meetings, liaising with the Clinical Lead, supervisor and team manager on matters of service development. To suggest and implement where agreed policy changes within NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) and the mental health services relevant to the psychological needs of the client group, as agreed by other senior clinical colleagues. To work with senior colleagues to utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) and the mental health service, and to disseminate this information widely.
