The team working with Young adults under 18 who are within our urgent care pathway. The team consists of Consultants, Lead nurses, senior mental health practitioners and support workers.   The team works across the city to offer the young adults of Birmingham specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention. We have an exciting opportunity to be opening the first ever psychiatry decisions unit (PDU) with a place of safety in a band new building.   This is an exciting post for a mental health nurse. You will be responsible for managing and triaging referrals, completing mental health assessments and signposting as appropriate. There is the expectation that you will provide cross cover where needed to the rest of the urgent care pathway, ie: home treatment and/or crisis.
