Outpatient Network is currently seeking Cardiothoracic Anaesthetistto join our weekend outpatient services in Coventry & Warwickshire We are currently supporting Coventry & Warwickshire to help with patient throughput for those awaiting Cardiothoracic Surgery. The service will run on both Saturday's and Sunday's Conduct preoperative assessments to evaluate patient risks and develop tailored anesthesia plans for procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve replacements, and lung resections. Provide intraoperative care , administering anesthesia and maintaining precise control of heart and lung function throughout surgery. Ensure advanced airway management and closely monitor patient vital signs, including cardiac and respiratory status, intervening when necessary. Collaborate closely with surgeons, operating department practitioners (ODPs), and the wider perioperative team to ensure a seamless and safe surgical process. Oversee postoperative care , managing pain relief and monitoring patient recovery in the ICU, while addressing any complications related to anesthesia. Requirements: Medical degree with specialization in anesthesiology. Proven experience in cardiothoracic anesthesia. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure in a high-stakes environment.
