                                                     Macclesfield Primary Care Network is an innovative and friendly PCN that is looking for a Newly Qualified Salaried General Practitioner (ARRS funded) to enhance the team, and the quality of our patient care. Following the release of ARRS GP information and funding we are looking for a newly qualified (within 2 yrs and not having had a substantive post), enthusiastic, forward-thinking GP to join us at Waters Green Medical Centre. The role we are offering provides an exciting opportunity to support acute care of our patients in Macclesfield. The post-holder will work alongside our community teams to provide acute visits to housebound patients on behalf of the practices. The other aspect of the post would be to work in our Macclesfield Acute Care Service seeing acutely unwell patients alongside our wider MDT and practices. This post is on a fixed term salaried contract until 31 March 2025. The contract will be based on the BMA contract, with 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata) and one week study leave (pro rata). Recording clear and contemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes using EMIS Web. Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, individualised patient care within the surgery or patients own home.  Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly referring patients to other services/agencies in a timely manner.  To recognise the need for and be able to perform and interpret investigatory procedures, including laboratory and radiology.  Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.  Ensure appropriate follow up of patients.  Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles and apply principles of self-care.  Support the delivery of anticipatory care plans.  Independently prescribe for patients within your scope of practice, in accordance with locally agreed or national guidelines.  Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.  Review medications following the appropriate policies, NICE/local clinical guidelines and local care pathways. Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines.    Be aware of your duties and responsibilities regarding current legislation and adhere to our policies and procedures on Safeguarding Children and Safeguarding Adults.
