Here at Billinghay Medical Practice, we have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join the team. We are looking for the right candidate to work 17 hours a week, alongside our reception team. The contracted hours would be Working pattern Wednesday- 8:00-12:00 Thursday- 7:30-16:00 Friday- 13:30-18:30 The ideal candidate will have experience as a GP Receptionist however, full training will be provided for the right candidate. Interviews are due to take place week commencing 27th January 2025. We are a forward thinking Practice, always putting patient medical care at the forefront of every decision. We are routinely in the top 10 for patient satisfaction in Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will work as part of an excellent, experienced reception team, who remain adaptable and considerate to changes within General Practice and the NHS. The successful candidate will- Be the first point of contact for all patients calling or entering the Practice. Support patients by booking appointments and assisting them to submit Ask My GP requests. Complete daily administrative duties to support the workflow of information to the relevant departments/ clinicians. Answer and action GP, Nurse and Practice Team enquiries to the best of their ability The successful candidate will have a sensitive and empathetic approach alongside a flexible, cooperative, professional nature, and the desire to put patient safety and quality of service at the forefront, are all essential characteristics that we will be looking for. About us The successful candidate will project a positive and friendly image to all patients and other visitors, while dealing with queries in a professional, courteous and efficient way. Duties and Responsibilities: The following are the core responsibilities of a Receptionist. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels. Answer all telephone calls, signposting and transferring calls where appropriate Answer all appointment queries Giving out results when required Complete ambulance transport bookings Deal with general enquiries, compliments, and complaints Contacting other providers, responding to urgent/ 999 calls Register new patients and temporary residents Complete the deduction process for required patients Greet and direct patients and visitors, ensuring all visitors are checked in Maintain and monitor the Practice daily appointment ledger Action all incoming post and emails Complete all assigned tasks Ensure outstanding queries are explained and handed over to the next shift Respond to the needs of healthcare staff during clinics Collect payments from payments for non-NHS services
