This role would be great for a senior nurse who has worked in a prison or hospital setting who wishes to develop their management experience in a custodial setting , HMP Oakwood is one of the largest prison in the UK, housing over 1,500 men. Hours: The role is full time 37.5 hours per week, based on a 8 week rolling rota. Monday - Friday 7am - 5.30pm and one weekend in 8 (working time 7.30am - 5.30pm) Salary This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £50,640.00 per annum FTE - depending on experience. Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course Competency framework Regional and national career development opportunities Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs Support from the wider team Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks As a Clinical Lead / Sister in Charge, your responsibilities will vary. You will Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required Working closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role Coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners, provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry our investigations locally and for the wider region Deliver workshops to develop the teams If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.
