The Audiology team provides high quality care for individuals of all ages with disorders of hearing and balance including an Auditory Implant Programme. The role includes co-ordination of patient waiting lists and staff rotas, responding to queries from patients and colleagues and providing reassurance when required. There will also be some PA support for senior clinical staff and some supervisory responsibility. This is a rewarding role where you will be in regular communication with clinical staff and patients. You will be IT proficient, organised and reliable, with an eye for detail. A key relationship is with the Ear, Nose and Throat Department (ENT), and the post holder is required to liaise frequently with ENT administrative staff and managers. This is a busy role and the ability to be flexible and prioritise tasks is a must. You will be a self-starter who shows initiative and is good at problem solving. You will have a positive approach to work, be a team-player and will be flexible depending on the demands of the service. Excellent attention to detail is a must. Applicants are expected to have previous NHS or public sector administrative experience. You will be based at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Work occurs during office hours and a flexible working pattern will be considered. A limited amount of home-based working may be possible. We are happy to consider applicants who are interested in a part time role (minimum of 22.5hrs per week).
