An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team of Emergency Care Practitioners working within our Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) at The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust, the centre serves the population of Wolverhampton and surrounding areas, providing care to patients with minor illnesses and injuries. We are a busy department, but we ensure that the care we give to our patients is of the highest standard. We ensure that our staff are supported, to encourage personal and professional development and currently expanding our team with potential opportunity for progression and development of Advanced Clinical Practitioner roles. Candidates will have the following: Non-Medical Prescriber Experience in Primary Care Experience in an urgent care setting such as Out of Hours, an Urgent Treatment Centre or emergency Department Excellent knowledge and experience in the assessment and management of minor injury and illness presentations Experience of working in an MDT, including mentoring of junior staff We are looking for suitably qualified health professionals who are passionate about their role, professional development and achieving better outcomes for patients. The Urgent Treatment Centre at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year. The position will be on a rostered basis 24 hrs per day, 7 days per week throughout the year working across both sites. Candidates will be able to assess, examine, diagnose and treat adultandpaediatric patients with minor injuries and illness within a defined scope of acuity, presentation and within their own professional scope of practice. They will have successfully completed an accredited Health Assessment course, Minor Injuries and Minor Illness module (or equivalent) and hold a current non-medical prescribing qualification (V300). They will have previous experience working autonomously in an Urgent Care environment. About us Successful applicants will join an existing experienced team of practitioners working within the Emergency Services Group. Candidates will be able to assess, examine, diagnose and treat adultandpaediatric patients with minor injuries and illness within a defined scope of acuity, presentation and within their own professional scope of practice.
