PCN - GP with Arc Primary Care in Chesterfield, Derbyshire
Are you a newly qualified GP, who has completed your training within the last two years? Are you looking for a role to kick start your GP career by building your confidence and experience? If so, we would love to hear from you. Chesterfield & Dronfield PCN are looking for enthusiastic (ARR) newly qualified GPs. This fixed term role until 31 March 2025, will be based within a neighbourhood allowing you to get know the practices and patients. Extension of the role will depend on future ARRS funding. You will undertake set clinics with the variety of usual general practice conditions, gaining support as required from more senior clinicians in practice. You will not have to undertake additional administrative duties other than those associated with your consultations. Please note we are not an Agenda for Change Organisation. Interview date to be confirmed but will be face to face at Dunston Innovation Centre, Dunston Road, Chesterfield, S41 8NG. Checking, signing, and authorising prescriptions relating to consultations and associated queries, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely manner. Making professional, autonomous decisions regarding presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred by other health care workers. Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed issues. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans in consultation with patients, in line with current disease management protocols. Admitting or discharging patients from the caseload and referring them to other care providers as appropriate. Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards. Collecting data for audit purposes. Participation in education and training offered by the PCN and practices Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions, avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible. Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary or generically, as clinically appropriate. Undertaking emergency patient visits during surgery hours, if clinically indicated. Contributing to evaluation, audit, and clinical standard setting within the organisation. Assisting in the development of computer-based patient records. About us In accordance with the agreed PCN timetable, the post-holder will undertake a variety of duties, including: Conducting surgery and telephone consultations, addressing patient queries, and potentially visiting patients at home although the PCN has a well established Home visiting service.
