The role of Enhanced Care Support Worker is to support the multidisciplinary teams on the wards, providing 24 hour care for people with cognitive impairment, who are distressed and at risk of harm to themselves or others. Training will be provided in specialised skills including; social engagement; ; and enhanced conflict resolution techniques to enable these patients to experience individualised person centered care.   The Enhanced Care Team can be based on any ward over both hospital sites, to provide support for both patients and staff.   Shift patterns are over a 24 hour period with Nights, Long days, Earlies and Lates; these posts require some weekend and bank holiday working as part of the ward rotas. You will be ward based and there will be times when you will be asked to move areas to support as needed by ward staff and on-call matrons. Shift patterns are over a 24 hour period with Nights, Long days, Earlies and Lates; these posts require some weekend and bank holiday working as part of the ward rotas.
