Department of Trauma & Orthopaedics (Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust) We have two exciting opportunities available to join the complement of Consultants based within the Trauma & Orthopaedic Service at Kingston NHS Foundation Trust. Locum Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon - Soft tissue and knee arthroplasty. Locum Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon - Shoulder, Elbow & Hand These posts are both full time and have been created to support our elective recovery programme. As fixed term positions, we are seeking candidates who are prepared to work flexibly and will increase the skill mix within the service. Candidates must be able to demonstrate specialist knowledge and experience of treating sub specialty conditions both electively and trauma, as well as demonstrating broad experience in general trauma. Locum Knee position - The successful applicant will be fellowship trained in soft tissue knee surgery and have skills ranging from meniscal preservation, multi-ligament reconstruction and osteotomy. Arthroplasty experience including partial knee arthroplasty and revision knee arthroplasty are desirable. The unit takes part in multi centered randomized controlled trials and further research is encouraged. Regular soft tissue knee and revision knee MDTs take place and engagement is required. Locum Upper limb position - The successful applicant will be fellowship trained in upper limb elective and trauma surgery. Experience of shoulder and elbow arthroplasty for trauma is desirable. Experience and expertise in management of complex upper limb trauma is essential. The successful applicant will have had experience in their fellowship and postgraduatetraining in the management of shoulder, elbow and hand pathologies. The successful candidate will integrate into the upper limb department with regular MDTs. About us Candidates must have FRCS or equivalent. All applicants should be fully registered with GMC, hold a licensed to practice, be fellowship trained post CCT. Interviews will take place in January 2025 and we aim to commence this appointment in March 2025.
