THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO FUNDING. Public Health Wales provides health protection services to the people of Wales. The service is integrated and is primarily delivered through health protection teams, Communicable Disease Surveillance Centre (CDSC); health protection programmes (e.g. healthcare associated infections, antimicrobial resistance &amp; prescribing (HARP), Immunisation and Vaccine Preventable Diseases Programme (VPDP), Blood borne viruses (BBV), sexual health, TB and Inequalities, and environmental health protection) and the microbiology laboratories and reference laboratories / specialist services. We are looking for an experienced, innovative, collaborative and dynamic individuals to join a team of analytical specialists in the Vaccine Preventable Disease Programme (VPDP) to provide a proactive and responsive service. The post holder will provide analytical support to the development and maintenance of public health surveillance schemes in the VPDP / CDSC. This will include developing analysis plans and advising on efficient analysis of large datasets, as required. Support may be across any of the VPDP / CDSC areas of expertise as required. including cross-cutting groups include field epidemiology; settings-based surveillance; and environmental surveillance.
