The prison has good transport links, as well as a free onsite car park. This is a brand new role, created due to growth within the mental health team as we expand our service to patients. This is an excellent opportunity for a current Senior, or experienced Mental Health Support Worker to take the next step in their development! We are looking for someone with a keen interest in Neurodiversity to join us to help our patients with conditions like ADHD, Autism, Learning Difficulties etc. Hours: This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, and you will work Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00, with occasional weekends. Salary: This position is full time , youll receive an annual salary up to £30,500 per annum - depending on experience. How will we support you? Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course Competency framework Regional and national career development opportunities Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs Support from the wider team Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks As our new Senior Mental Health Support Worker (Neurodiversity), your responsibilities will vary. You will: Assist the mental health team in the delivery of immediate and, where appropriate, ongoing care for patients referred to the mental health team Working with the nurses and nursing associates in mental health Help to run and promote Neurodiversity focussed patient groups, including those with ADHD, Autism, Learning Difficulties etc You will be expected to support people to access care and treatment appropriately within the prison setting, working independently with lone working at times.
