The University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is looking for a registered Clinical Scientist to lead the Radiotherapy Physics team in Plymouth. The role involves providing advanced radiotherapy services, including VMAT, stereotactic radiosurgery, and total body irradiation, to the local population and specialized services in the SW Peninsula. The position requires effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to enhance the development of radiotherapy physics, with particular responsibilities including radiation dosimetry, quality assurance, and radiation protection. Candidates should have advanced radiotherapy physics skills, and experience in brachytherapy or SRS is desired, though training will be provided.

The successful candidate will also play a key role in managing and supervising clinical scientists, ensuring adherence to quality systems, coordinating staff training, and participating in research initiatives. Responsibilities include presenting educational sessions, managing calibration programs, and contributing to the overall development of the Radiotherapy Physics service. Preference will be given to internal Trust staff and those with relevant experience, as defined in the person specification.
