The role of Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at North Somerset CAMHS involves a 10 PA position, with a focus on providing psychiatric services and leadership within the community CAMHS team and the North Somerset Community Eating Disorder Service. This position will entail developing and managing complex mental health issues in children and adolescents, conducting assessments, follow-ups, and consultations, as well as offering psychiatric input without taking on care coordination responsibilities. The consultant will have opportunities for emergency work and will be expected to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the development of tailored therapeutic pathways.

The position also allows for the potential to cultivate a special interest aligned with local needs, with the consultant working closely with the clinical service manager and senior staff to ensure effective clinical leadership and service development.
