The role of Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age Community Psychiatry at Ashford, offered by Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust, involves providing comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment services for the over 65 population in the Ashford and Tenterden areas. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, conducting assessments, offering medical leadership, and engaging in complex case discussions while maintaining the accreditation for the Memory Assessment Service. Applicants should hold MRCPsych or equivalent qualifications, be registered with the GMC, and possess Approved Clinician and S12 status under the Mental Health Act.

In addition to the clinical responsibilities, the position entails participating in various team and governance meetings, providing supervision and medical guidance, and being available for urgent clinical matters.
