The South West London and St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking a committed and experienced Director of Corporate Governance to provide strategic leadership in overseeing governance structures and processes within the organisation. This role is crucial for ensuring effective governance that supports the Trust's ambition to deliver exceptional mental health services, foster a culture of inclusivity, and actively address health inequalities. The Director will collaborate closely with senior leaders and board members, advising on complex governance matters, ensuring compliance with legislation, and enhancing best practices throughout the Trust.

Key responsibilities include guiding the Board on governance issues, overseeing the Trust's corporate governance framework, and ensuring adherence to statutory requirements. The successful candidate will bring expertise as a Company Secretary, possess strong political acumen for navigating board dynamics, and demonstrate a passion for advancing the Trust’s commitment to equity and anti-racism within mental health services. The role involves significant collaboration with various stakeholders, contributing to high standards of governance, and supporting the Trust's Quality Improvement initiatives and Better Communities program.
