As a vital team member, you will provide excellent administration and communication skills and work flexibly in response to the service needs. You will provide day to day support whilst being the point of contact for the patients and clinical team.
You will have strong interpersonal and organisational skills, be computer literate and be able to use a variety of systems including Excel and Microsoft Office, possess excellent time management skills along with the ability to manage competing demands and priorities.
The role of the Receptionist / Audio Typist will be to provide clerical and administrative support to the medical and secretarial team within East Lancashire Child and Adolescent Service (ELCAS). The post holder will spend some part of the week audiotyping letters from the digital dictation system, and the rest rotating onto our reception area providing front line contact with our young people and families.
The role will involve processing and navigating urgent calls from the general public.The post holder will require competency in general admin, keyboard skills, good communication and an ability to work well within a team. An ability to understand the need for and to maintain confidentiality is essential.
