Join the quest for health as a Health & Wellbeing Coach! Your mission is to support the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP) and inspire communities in your local area. You’ll embark on a noble journey, conducting one-on-one assessments and leading dynamic group sessions. Your goal? We help people to understand and take control of their own health through sustained behaviour change, transforming lives for the better through weight management, quit smoking services, diabetes services, cardiovascular disease prevention and health coaching & social prescribing. We work with service users to make the changes that stick. Our people will be with you every step of the way, translating the science into healthy habits that add up to long term health improvement

Every Day You Will

  • Be conducting both 1:1 assessments and group delivery sessions to Service Users for your region.
  • Maintain data monitoring records of all Service Users and ensure that this is handled with the greatest care .
  • Be able to complete the full onboarding training before delivery, this includes a combination of self-guided, live remote and live face-to-face training days within the first 3-4 weeks of their start date. The live training is provided on a variety of days and times to choose from but flexibility to attend all necessary onboarding training will be required.
  • Consistently check and monitor the progress of the Service Users (weight management, goal review, using HBA1c results attained from patients GP surgery to monitor their blood sugar levels).

To thrive in this role, you must ideally have...

  • A BSc in Sports & Exercise Science OR a REPS level 3 in Personal Training
  • Previous experience delivering 1:1 or group sessions
  • Previous experience in nutrition with a passion for health improvement
  • A full driver’s license and access to a vehicle
