We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health Care Assistant to join our growing organisation.
The post holder will work alongside all members of the nursing team and strictly in accordance with specific Practice guidelines and protocols, the healthcare assistant will assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patients care for our patients in the Chesterfield area.
- This is a full-time permanent role - 37.5 hours per week
To run clinics independently for CVD checks, new patient checks, NHS health checks, phlebotomy, blood pressure monitoring, smoking status, provide lifestyle advice and health promotion as well as Preliminary Long-term condition reviews in surgery and at patient’s homes.
To perform ECG’S and spirometry as part of the diagnosis and monitoring of patients conditions.
To perform simple dressing changes, with direction from the nursing team.
To perform removal of sutures/staples when requested.
To deliver care in a variety of settings including but not limited to surgery, patients own home, nursing and residential care settings.
Work under Patient Specific Directions (PSD) with recognised immunisation training when requested, in accordance to policies and procedures.
To prepare, maintain, restock and stock rotate clinical environments on a weekly basis, ensuring documentation is completed.
Ensure accurate and legible notes are kept for all consultations, and treatments are recorded in the patients notes.
To maintain display areas for health promotion and order materials when required.
The post holder will require an understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality and the ability to use their own judgement, acceptance of own capabilities and awareness of own limitations.
The post holder may require working alone and determining their own workload priorities.
Excellent Communication Skills And Basic Computer Skills Are Required.
