The successful candidate will be proactive and innovative in improving patient safety and driving standards of care forward.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 7 Ward Sister/Charge Nurse position on Hutton ward.The successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating the workforce and day to day management of Hutton ward.
Hutton is a 27-beded Trauma and Orthopaedic ward, providing person centred care and rehabilitation for mostly, patients with an orthopaedic need. The ward focuses mainly on providing care for patients who have sustained injuries to their bones and require either surgery or rehab.
This is a challenging but rewarding role and the applicant must have excellent communication and problem solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing situations when under pressure.

The successful candidate must have experience in leadership. They will be given support and training to further develop leadership and management skills, and will be responsible for the overall management of the ward and its staff.

The successful candidate will be able to facilitate learning and development opportunities for their ward staff.
