This rewarding role offers days & waking night shifts, on a full time or part time basis, providing essential care to our service user within his own home

Our service user is a happy and adventurous young boy who is currently awaiting discharge from hospital, which is around a 1-hour drive from his home.

When home, he will reside with his loving family in Preston.

Were seeking a dedicated team of care professionals to accompany him to nursery throughout the day and support him at home throughout the night on a 1:1 basis.

He is very active boy who loves to interact. He is always on the move and his playful spirit brightens up the day.

He enjoys engaging in a variety of stimulating activities with his care team, especially playing chase which is his favourite game. He is looking for a care team who offers lots of laughter and fun, whilst encouraging him to develop his skills. It would be great if you could match his enthusiasm for his interests!

Throughout the day you will accompany him to his nursery setting, providing full support with his personal and clinical care needs, and promoting his independence and socialisation with his peers.

Overnight you will observe him closely, tending to his personal care needs and clinical care needs as required. Should he wake, you will offer comfort and reassurance to promote a restful environment for our service user.

Our lovely young service user is unable to communicate verbally and will use gestures and facial expressions to make his needs known. He is also learning sign language, so it would be advantageous if you have a basic understanding to aid communication. It is important that you are patient and take time to understand and interpret his methods of communication to avoid him becoming distressed or frustrated.
