Undertake agreed clinical and non-clinical tasks, extending range following training in defined practices. Ensure referral to the appropriate healthcare practitioner where appropriate.
Demonstrate technical and/or practical skills to ensure optimum patient management e.g. cannulation/ECG/manual handling of neurosurgical patients.
Organise own daily workload e.g. use and cleaning of identified medical and non-medical equipment (beds, hoists etc).
Assist with personal patient care e.g. bed-bathing and feeding
Frequent processing of patient property and valuables, ensuring accurate documentation where appropriate
Support less experienced members of staff in their orientation to the ward and role. Provide leadership and support to more junior support workers.

Ward 41 is looking for experienced healthcare assistants to join a collaborative and enthusiastic team. The service has recently expanded and we require senior healthcare assistants to support us with discharge planning and supporting the junior workforce. Ward 41 is a 36 bedded unit which has 12 Hyper-Acute Stroke Beds (HASU) and 24 Acute Stroke beds (ASU). The successful post holder will be dynamic and have a positive attitude.
