We have an exciting opportunity for a neuropsychologist at 8b to take a lead in psychological interventions in our neuropsychology pathways in Worcestershire, working across a range of conditions including ABI and neurodegenerative disease. The post is up to 4 days. They will support the development of a matched care approach with an emphasis on multi-disciplinary working and psychological consultation. They will have substantial experience in the use and interpretation of neuropsychological and psychological assessments, MDT working, specialist delivery of psychological, vocational and neuropsychological interventions as well as supervision, consultation, teaching and training. The psychology team is very supportive and has lots of development opportunities. We have previously supported people to complete their QICN as well other trainings (e.g. CAT).   • Providing neuropsychological assessments and interventions for people with acquired and neurodegenerative brain injury, including FND, and their families and contributing to a culture of support and collaboration both in the service and with partner. Interventions may involve family members and carers and include liaison and consultation.
  • Active contribution to MDTs: providing case discussion and care planning with an emphasis on sharing biopsychosocial formulations and evidence based interventions
  • Contributing to audit, research and service development
  • Providing formal and adhoc supervision to other staff, including trainees as well as providing teaching and learning opportunities.
  • Providing clinical expertise and leadership in the psychological and cognitive needs of people following a stroke and ABI and their families and contributing to a culture of support and collaboration both in the service and with partner agencies.
