Ward 3 Ninewells is a fast paced, busy 30 bedded Respiratory Unit, where we enjoy delivering the best care journey and experience for our patients. Our team is made up of a range of experienced RNs and HCSWs who have a passion for Respiratory Care and enjoy working alongside each other in professional friendship and support.

We have a dynamic wide team around us, where Consultants, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Specialist Nurses all come together regularly to discuss and develop the best supported pathways and journeys for the patients in our care.

Previous hospital experience is desirable but not essential - we will support you to contribute in delivery of highest levels of patient comfort as well as maintaining the upkeep and safety of the unit by helping to participate in regular audit.

You will be required to achieve the Mandatory Induction Standards For Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment

Hours of work are: 37 hours per week / part time hours also considered

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
