Mammographer
to join our Breast Screening team based at the Jarvis Centre in Guildford, Surrey.
Breast screening the women of Surrey and NE Hants is carried out on a fleet of 5 mobile vans with additional capacity at Jarvis Centre.
Assessment Clinics, held at the Jarvis Centre, are staffed by a dedicated multi-disciplinary team of Consultant Radiologists, Associate Breast Clinicians, Advanced Practitioners, Mammographers, Assistant Practitioners and clinical and administration staff following the NHSBSP principles of triple assessment mammography/ultrasound, clinical examination and needle biopsy).
What does being a Senior Mammographer involve?
This is a part-time role, working
22.5 hours per week
on a local rota across Monday Friday.
As a Senior Mammographer at InHealth, you will provide a high-quality imaging service to all users of the service and screen women for breast cancer by mammography. You will participate in assessment clinics including stereotactic biopsies and participate in the support of development of assistant practitioners.
This role offers significant development opportunities as you will be expected to take on some additional managerial duties and deputise for the Superintendent Radiographer when appropriate.
Allocated time for these duties will be provided.

Deputise for, and in partnership with the Superintendent Radiographer Support the business in the delivery of the NHSBSP National Programme Support the movement of 5 Mobile Breast Screening vans across 20 sites, serving NHS Surrey and part of Hampshire borders Line Manager for Radiographic Assistants in Hub Department .
A clinical and professional lead for the radiographic aspects of the service provided by the Jarvis As a practicing radiographer lead by example to provide a high level of technical skill and ensure a caring and individual experience for the client.
The post holder must have knowledge of all systems of work, policies and procedures which support the organization to maintain efficiency.
